Psychic surgeons claim that they are able to pass their hands through the physical manifestation of the patient’s tissues, to reach the inside of the body.

There are some specific psychic surgeons who have been able to gain popularity in their field. Ze Arigo is one such psychic surgeon who used to be a peasant in Brazil. He claims that he was given psychic powers by a mystical figure that came to him in his dreams. This mystical figure was dressed as a surgeon and was performing operations. Ever since, Ze Arigo claims that he has been able to perform miraculous surgeries on his clients. The spirit that came to Ze in his dreams was later identified as Dr. Fritz, a German surgeon who had practiced during the time of the World War I.
Is Psychic Surgery Viable?
Since this is still an upcoming method of treatment, there is not much information available on psychic surgery. However, some of the psychic surgeons, such as Ze Arigo, have been observed closely by the doctors to confirm the veracity of the methods used. The doctors do agree that the methods employed by the psychic surgeons are successful, but so far they have not been able to explain the methods used. The doctors are able to diagnose the problems of the clients using their psychic powers. Most of them do not use any medical methods for diagnosing the problems. They do not even need to ask the symptoms of the clients, but some of them do ask for symptoms.

The National Council Against Health Fraud has issued an advisory against psychic surgeons. The council feels that psychic surgery should not be used as a viable method of treatment and cautions people against taking any medical help from anyone but a licensed medical practitioner. They feel that the psychic surgeons may harm their patients by keeping them from getting proper medical attention.
There is still a lot of study that has to be performed in the area of psychic surgery in order to get any conclusive evidence for or against this treatment method. For now, national medical councils advise against using such services.
